5 Saturdays Founder Dave Cornelius, DM, was recently recognized in a letter from President Barack Obama. Cornelius is the creator of 5 Saturdays, a Costa Mesa-based education non-profit focused on bringing Agile principles to high school classrooms.

In the letter, President Obama praises Dr. Cornelius’ “…determination to make a difference in the lives of others.” President Obama also addresses the need to educate students via S.T.E.A.M. programs, stating: “…we must empower our Nation’s youth with a competitive education and the tools to make tomorrow’s breakthrough discoveries. If we join together in common purpose, I’m confident our Nation can expand the horizons for more young people and give them the skills they need to thrive.”
